How IDS Nurture works

IDS Nurture provides a viewing and analysis platform for individual and herd data, allowing insights into behaviour patterns and arising health issues. The system turns sensor and robot data into real-time, relevant alerts and information to help you manage your herd.

The captured data can be viewed on the user's personal dashboard, via a parlour interface, desktop, tablet or smartphone. IDS Nurture is compatible with a number of herd management systems, providing access to valuable information on a single format.

Lameness

Lameness is one of the most significant issues affecting dairy cattle. It compromises health and well-being and impacts on fertility and productivity. Early detection is extremely important, and our lameness detection module gives you the information required to help you reduce the number, severity and duration of lameness cases.

Lameness Alerts are generated daily to help you identify and prioritise issues and intervene early.

Mobility monitoring

IDS Nurture assesses the mobility of your cows on a continuous basis and works out their daily mobility score. The score uses an industry standard 4-point scale so that you can easily fit the module into your existing management approach.

In addition to generating a mobility score for each cow, the module also shows how your scores are changing over time and how your farm compares to the top 25% in the UK.

Fertility

Our superior heat detection capabilities have been validated through scientific studies and head-to-head comparisons with other systems, showing our system to be the real leader in the market.

Because we understand that each farm is different, you can optimise the settings for your farm and define your own AI window. In addition to clear alerts, you can also view the full historic data for each cow providing valuable insights into the cycles of your individual cows.

Lying time

Lying time is a high priority behaviour. Lack of lying and sleep impacts production and well-being in your herd and your bottom line! Cows have a strong instinct to lie down and rest for 10 to 14 hours per day.
